I’m an Afro-Latina storyteller who loves
Tex-Mex, the San Antonio Spurs, and all things Beyoncé. I’m passionate about creating cool, sometimes calm, but always creative campaigns that lead with a culture-first mentality.
For Black History Month (BHM), team NissanUSA – a.k.a. me and my partner – were tasked to create a campaign that celebrates untold stories of Black culture.
Nissan is all about innovation and technology that thrills. So for BHM, we highlighted Black music professionals who use technology to drive the beat of America’s music.

We created a digital and social campaign where we launched videos that featured Just Blaze, Willie Green, and Ebonie Smith.
Before launching the 3 main videos, we had a month of teaser content on social platforms like Instagram and Twitter.
Nissan Sentra | Grandma Knows Best
The new Nissan Sentra has the tech, the style, and the thrills. With the Nissan Sentra, you don’t have to compromise.
For this campaign, we tapped into the cultural insight that the family bond is important in the African American (AA) market and older generations love to pass down their wisdom.
After all, grandma knows best.
Maker’s Mark is all about the craft – whether that’s how they craft their whiskey or the passion someone puts in their craft. For this campaign, we were tasked to create an OOH campaign that feature artists who use their craft to show us what makes their city remarkable..
We researched and reached out to artists in NYC and Atlanta to create a mural in local hot spots that reflects thir perspective of what makes their city truly remarkable.
The goal was to show that Denny’s is a place where everyone is welcome to the table. In this total market campaign, we worked with parter agencies on the GM TVC and created a TVC for the African American audience by honing in on cultural insights.
In the African American community, saying “I see you” is a deep meaning that gives a sense of acknowledgment and celebration. In this campaign, we cast the winner of Denny’s HBCU acknowledgement program.

On set, I interviewed Mary Pat Hector, who won Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarship, for our behind the scenes video of our “I See You” commercial.
AdCouncil & CDC | No Time for the Flu
We created a 360 campaign to encourage everyday people, especially in COVID times, to get their flu shot. Because even though people were working remotely, they still had to take care of their family, take care of themselves, work from home, and be a teacher for their kids.
Who has time for the flu?
This campaign launch included TVC, OLV, digital, social, and PR images.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee needed more mentors in their program to
support the youth in the area.
With “You Are The Excellence” campaign, elevated ‘Bigs’, who are the mentors, in their everyday jobs to show that no matter who they are or what they do, they are Black Excellence. And their experiences are what ‘Littles’ need to become the Kings they are.
My role in this campaign was to write the copy for the Print materials and give direction on the video that was produced by other team members.
This campaign was a 2020 ANA Multicultural Excellence Category Winner for Print
Nissan Altima | Car of the Future
“Just because we’re magic, doesn’t mean we’re not real” - Jesse Williams.
For this campaign, we were inspired by afrofuturism, which is the intersection of the African diaspora culture with science and technology, and honed in on the insight of how African American women make moves that influence American culture.
This campaign illustrates how African American women ‘level up’ with the help of technology in the 2019 Nissan Altima.
Nissan x BETX | Tomorrow to Today
Nissan and BET have a longstanding relationship. In 2018, we created the Tomorrow to Today experience at the BET Experience (BETX), where we featured Nissan’s new car models, handed out swag, and had great performances by singer Jean Deaux, legendary MC Lyte,
iconic DJ D-Nice and many more.
In this experience, the afrofuturistic look and feel mirrored the sculpture created by Shala, the social impact artist that we featured in our :30 TVC of the 2018 Nissan KICKS.
Nissan KICKS | Hustle Redefined
The all-new Nissan KICKS is a crossover car that is a mix of self-expression and technology.
It redefines personalization, just like how Solar Impact Artist, Shala, redefines
art through his hustle.
Women Who Create | Make Moves Summit
Women Who Create is a non-profit mentorship program that helps women of color thrive in creative industries.
In 2021, we launched a summit for women of color called Make Moves.
My role was to develop the summit name, brainstorm sessions and panel content, branding and copy for the landing page, email communications and social elements.
I also was a guest moderator for the ‘Bound to my Boundaries’ panel. You’ll see my cameo :)
